20 minutes recording time handles lots of
messages! Built-in digital answering machine can store up to 20
minutes of messages, memos, phone calls and announcements — for a total of
up to 99 messages. Remote access is available from any touch-tone phone.
Record conversations for later playback or transcribing. Call
screening/intercept allows you to pick up calls even while the caller is
leaving a message — so it's never too late to catch that call!
Auto attendant greets/routes callers
automatically! Saves time and money — calls are automatically
routed to the right person! Auto attendant automatically picks up a ringing
line after a selected number of rings, plays a selected announcement and
redirects incoming calls to other extensions in your phone system. You may
designate more than 1 auto attendant for your system (each auto attendant
picks up 1 line). Must have more than 1 AT&T 984 phone for this feature
to activate.
Expandable up to a total of 16 stations. Once
you have this station, you can add up to 15 more (sold separately) as your
business grows. Each additional unit requires its own phone jack and AC
power outlet.
4-line capability — room for growth. All
callers will get the attention they deserve! Easy-to-install 4-line system
allows you to receive up to 4 incoming telephone lines to better handle a
high volume of calls.
Know who's calling with Call Waiting/Caller
ID† capability. Know exactly who's calling before you answer the
phone! Caller ID features a time/day stamp and stores up to 200 names and
numbers in its memory, so you can easily go back to research who called and
when.
Easily coordinate meetings with 3-party
conferencing. It's easy to include up to 2 outside lines on the
same call! Other features include do-not-disturb, auto redial, intercom,
paging, transfer, call privacy, mute and flash.
No numbers to remember with name/number
storage! Record and access up to 200 names and numbers in the
system's directory. Phone also allows you to program up to 32 names/numbers
for instantaneous 1-touch dialing — all to make your life a little easier!
Backlit LCD displays day/time, name/number, phone line, call timer. Text can
be programmed to display in English, Spanish or French for your convenience.
Speakerphone for hands-free use! Easily
switch between talking on the handset, speakerphone or headset — for
varying degrees of movement while you talk. Headset jack accommodates most
2-band 2.5 mm headsets (headsets sold separately). Phone is also hearing-aid
compatible, and speaker can be used to monitor the sounds in a room.
2 data ports allow greater functionality. Get
more use from your phone! 2 auxiliary ports conveniently allow you to plug
in up to 2 other communication devices, such as a fax and modem.
Power failure memory-loss protection saves
labor! A huge time saver! Special memory saving feature means all
your programming, directory entries and Caller ID information will be
retained in the event of a power failure.
Battery backup capability for uninterrupted
service. Station uses 9V alkaline battery (not included) as a
backup in the event of a power failure.
NOTE: This telephone cannot be wall
mounted (wall mount bracket not included). However, this product can be placed
on a desk (desk mount included).
