The ServicePoint SDU (Service Delivery Unit) makes traditional DSU/CSU hardware
obsolete by enabling businesses to terminate, monitor and control their wide
area network. The ServicePoint solution includes a hardware platform for network
access, a choice of upgrades that deliver Frame Relay and enterprise monitoring,
control functions, and management software that provides reporting and analysis
of network performance data. Terminate features are standard in all ServicePoint
SDUs, and are indicated as a "t" in the product model number. Models 2040-t and
2140-t include only Terminate features. Monitor features can be purchased
pre-loaded in the SDU, and are indicated as an "m" in the product model number.
Models 2040-tm and 2140-tm include Terminate and Monitor features. Monitor
features can also be purchased and added to 2040-t and 2140-t SDUs via a simple
download-protecting investments in your access equipment.
